Pentecost Sunday at Immaculate Conception

BUILD IT AND THEY WILL COME! (“They have no gym!” John 2:3) MESSAGE FROM FR. RICHARD: I wish to send a word of thanks to all who have helped make the dream of our St. John the Evangelist (Waynesville) Family and Youth Recreational Field Possible! The new property has been cleared of trees and we are in the engineering design phase with the hope of a mid June target date for grading and pouring of our 10 foot+ retaining wall. God willing, the parish hopes to build a gym on the property Spring of 2021 when funds are available. Anyone who wishes to help make our Mountain Gym possible for the Catholic Youth of Haywood County can email Fr Richard directly at [email protected] to a pledge from the heart. Right now the First Methodist Church in Waynesville has the only gym in town and their youth evangelization program is growing. It is my hope and dream that we will have the gym facility for an after school program similar to that of First Methodist. A program for youth that focuses on offering a leadership formation and after school tutoring for middle school age youth with high school mentors [...]

Hard at work in the VINEYARD of THE LORD here in Waynesville! Thanks to numerous dedicated parishioners alongside skilled professionals we continue working in the vineyard of the Lord where HE has planted us... IN THESE SMOKY MOUNTAINS! Psalm 121:1-2 Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto has been built and landscaping efforts continue as we prepare for her July 20, 2019 arrival from Italy! The BIG EQUIPMENT is in full swing clearing our new youth and family recreation field... Bishop Jugis will come bless our Marian Grotto and Recreation Field during the week of July 21, 2019. Our FIRST ANNUAL PARISH PICNIC will be Sunday, August 4, 2019 (2pm - 6pm) on our new Youth and Family Recreation Field. Her journey from Italy has begun! Estimated arrival date to St. John the Evangelist here in Waynesville is July 20, 2019! Our Lady of Lourdes Pray for us!
