Ecumenical Cross Walk and 7 Last Words Prayer Service Ecumenical Cross Walk and 7 Last Words Prayer Service in St John the Evangelist Parish Hall Yesterday (11:15am - 1:15pm), which included a Knights of Columbus sponsored and served Fish Fry for the 60+ who attended. Ministers from the First Baptist Church (Robert & Mitch), the First Methodist Church (Keith), the First Presbyterian Church (Holly), Grace Episcopal Church (Joslyn), and myself representing St John the Evangelist all offered reflections on one or two of the 7 last words of Jesus after our lunch. Nail It To The Cross Street Mission
Nail It To The Cross Street Mission On Wednesday, April 17th, Fr Richard and 20 parishioners took to the streets of downtown Waynesville with a cross placed on the corner of Miller St. and Main St. to ask people for their prayer intentions. Even the Mayor of the town came out to put an intention on the cross. The parishioners of St John the Evangelist will be praying for all these intentions throughout the Holy Triduum.
